Individual Traits

A self-made person who fundamentally grew up and regimented in a Cadet College. He is thoroughly agile and track records prove him to be meritorious. He is well accepted among all his peer groups both in the Army and Civil domains including relatives and villagers. Being in the Army he is one of the fortunate officers who was sent to IBA, DU to learn the complex business and commercial world. He is keen in objective analysis of any problem. He enjoys learning any issues notably business cases. New ways and new ventures are his passions. He served in the Army for long 33 years with honor and dignity.

Professional Experience

His military experience is classic like others who could rise to the rank of a Brigadier General. Being an Armored Officer he not only commanded a few thousand men but also managed to keep huge costly equipment operational put under his responsibilities. He served as instructors twice in his Corps Institution. He was a Grade-2 and Grade-1 Staff Officers at the Armed Forces Division to coordinate foreign training and employment of Bangladesh Armed Forces in a number of UN Missions of the Bangladesh Armed forces throughout the world. Further he served as Operations Officer twice for a Battalion and Brigade size forces where forces from other foreign countries were in the ORBAT (Group).     

The officer got a scope to serve in DGFI that paid him to learn not only security aspects but also overall social, economic and business dynamics including working of public offices. He served as Chairman of the Governing Body for two Cantonment Public School and College in Dhaka Cantonment.

The officer ended his military career as the Director of the Armored Corps where he worked on standardization, planning procurement, coordinating procurement, inspection and induction of procured armaments and equipment of the corps. In addition he also worked on planning, coordinating and supervising training of Armored personnel. Planning, coordinating and supervising of raising of new units fell within his responsibilities.

The sending of the officer to the top business school of the country and his hard study there for three years was a good platform to observe the ice-tip of the complex business world. He was mentored by the then famous business faculties of the country. The officer was one the pioneer faculties to start MBA under Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). Later he served as Dean of Business Faculty, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) for two years.  Four new departments were opened under his direct planning and supervision. Major tasks encompassed; planning academic calendar, directing the faculty, arranging seminars on business development and strategic management etc. Though protocol of his Deanship he got exposure to a number of Business Organizations.

His true business exposure is met through working in Sena Kallan Sanstha (SKS) where he worked as Director General of Food and Beverage Division. A number of new products were commissioned during his short stay there. Due to his interest in businesses the officer was involved in new ventures including DPM Projects in SKS. He visited about 30 countries which gives him an exposure to the international arenas

. 

After the retirement, the officer served as Chief Administrator of Army Medical College, Bogura for one and half years. He was responsible for entire affairs of the Medical Outfit less academic events.

Now, he has joined in Basic Power Engineering Ltd. as Chief Executive Officer.
